Basic Info
Name:Rona Crouch
Birthdate:07-05
Location:Brighton and Hove, United Kingdom
Bio
Name: Madrona Crouch (Rona)
Birthday: 5 Jul 1940
Blood Status: Pure
House (former or current): ex Hufflepuff
Parental Units?: Probably deceased, Grandfather had magic carpet though, could seat 12.
Additional Units?: Brother Barty, sister Rettie, nephew Barty

What’s your story, morning glory?: Born during the muggle war Rona understands that muggles are much different to wizards and so should be left as much alone as is possible. She is the middle child but acts as if she was the oldest, she sees Barty as a weak man who has no courage in his convictions and as such she and her sister both relentlessly torture him. The family lived in the country for many years in a large farmhouse, although there were slaves to do all the manual labour, and they seemed to just accept the family. Rona had little show of magic until months before her letter arrived, there was a small worry she may have been a squib (Rettie never knew, and still doesn't) but one day she managed to extract a brick from the wall and disintegrate it when Barty was busy boasting about all the friends he had at Hogwarts and she had really wanted to be there, even though she was pretty sure Barty was lying about having that many friends. Rona loved Hogwarts and would love to have stayed until she died, Dippet had to force her out of her dorm with her trunk at the end of her 7th year, she had tried to claim her sister needed her for moral support. Rona wasn't happy that last year she was out of school and alone without her sister. It was a weird time for her that she spent mostly wishing she was back at Hogwarts and listening to jazz music (she grew out of that phase, into the Beatles and was devastated when they split, she hated Paul McCartney's solo stuff, and will absolutely die on 8 Dec 1980 when Lennon gets shot in NY). After Rettie finished they got a small bungalow together that they have been living in since. Both discovered they were lesbians at school but neither has really done much about it, preferring the company of family than potential lovers. Both in spinsterhood and almost 40 have a pet cat and are the embodiment of spinster-types, but are slightly more well dressed than the average spinster and have better jobs and are actually invited to fancy parties, mostly by their editor who isn't really a fan but they earn him buckets full of galleons each week.

Make a string of adjectives: Middle-aged, hag, ABBA, fanatical, family, music.

What do people love about you?: My witty one-liners and ability to be entirely appropriate to whatever is going on.

What do people hate?: That utter toad at the Ministry, Deborah, Delilah, Doris or something like that, smarmies up with that Fudge - they say he'll be Minister one day, not that I deal in such low class meddlings as gossip-mongering.

Your one crippling weakness: Only one? I would say Barty and Rettie, Barty is a weak little thing and sort of drags the family down with his constant need for power, even with his fancy job over at the Ministry, the only good he ever did was having little Barty. And I just can't live without Rettie, which I suppose could be called weak, it'd tear me up and I couldn't bear it if she wasn't here anymore.

If your life was the Titanic and your raft only had room for three people you know, who would they be?: darling little Barty, handsome Teddy Tonks and I suppose I would take my little sister.

Would you jump off your metaphorical raft to make room for a stranger?: If everything was turned and it was their raft and I was a stranger would they hypothetically jump off for me?

Share your passions: I love writing my gossip column for Witch Weekly with my sister, I have seen ABBA in concert and everywhere more times than I can count and own all their records and watch every second I can when they're on the telebox, and gorgeous little Barty brings such life into our house when he visits, the darling boy could do no wrong, unlike his wretched father.

Your thoughts on this Voldemort bloke: Bit of a livewire really, killing folk isn't the best way of making things happen now is it? Bearing in mind that some of his followers seem to be many of the people I was at school with I suppose they can't find him too offensive. Maybe he's not as bad as they make him out to be in all those gossipy tabloids. Anyway, it's only muggles he's after so far, there's plenty so it's not like they're going to miss a few from random places are they?
